Admission Department

The admission department aims to organize, execute, and develop the admission process. In order to achieve this objective, the department, represented in its two divisions; admission, and scholarships and foreign transfer divisions, carries out the following duties:

  • Accepting the papers of candidate students and announcing the admission results according to their GPAs, and to the numbers and conditions set out by the scientific colleges and prescribed by the university board of trustees.

  • The department admits candidate students to occupy the dedicated cultural scholarships by Kuwait University to the countries according to the set out conditions in the admission policy.

  • Transferring the graduate students of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training and other universities to Kuwait University and equalizing courses from the universities and colleges from which they have transferred according to the scientific departments in Kuwait University.

  • Enlightening the students during their secondary school period through lectures, public forums, and admission workshops.

In Addition to that, the department includes the Statistics and Technical Support division which is considered as the main source of information and statistical data that is used to guide university admission and registration policies. It, also, carries out all concerned works with computer maintenance and programming. Its duties can be summarized in the following:

  • Providing the necessary data, statistics, and studies for the university's colleges and manpower centers in cooperation with the Center for Information Systems.

  • Executing the required programs to prepare statistics and reports.

  • Updating and maintaining the hardware and software in the computers of the deanship.

  • Assisting employees in computer applications.

  • Technical support for the deanship website and updating its information continuously.
