Rules of transfer between Colleges (Class of 2009 and before) A student can transfer form one college to another once only, provided that the number of passed credits does not exceed 45 credits, in accordance with the approved rules by the Deans' Committee. The Students' Affairs Committee may consider cases of students who passed more than 45 credits. - College of Engineering and Petroleum - College of Allied Health Science - College of Shari'a and Islamic Studies - College of Business Administration
First: Unified conditions for transfer between colleges of the university 1. The student should pass at least 15 credits, but no more than 45 credits. The college in question sets the number of credits required for transfer. 2. The student should not have spent more than three regular semesters in the university for students enrolled in colleges that do not apply the system of remedial courses, or four semesters for other colleges. 3. The student's GPA should be no less than 2.00 Points (C). A college can set the grade average required to transfer to it. 4. The student should pass some 100-level and 200-level courses as required by the major sheets of the college to transfer to, provided that the grade in each of the courses is no less than C. The college in question sets the required courses.
Second: Regulatory rules for the process of transfer 1. Transfer takes place from one college to another, not from one department to another. Specifically, transfer occurs from the preparatory stage in the college in which the student is enrolled in to the preparatory stage in the college to transfer to. 2. Periods of transfer between colleges are set by the Deanship of Admissions and Registration after posting of results of final exams at the end of every semester (regular or summer). 3. The Deanship of Admissions and Registration receives applications for transfer and distributes the students who meet the required conditions between colleges during the announced period. Third: College-specific Conditions Some colleges have extra conditions, in the framework of general rules of transfer, in terms of their special courses and the required grade average for transfer. These conditions are as follows:
The student should pass two 100-level or 200-level courses as required in the major sheets of the college, provided that the grade average in each of the courses is at least C.
1. The student should pass one common course with a grade of C at least depending on the group which he/she desires to transfer to.

2. Concerning the Group for Mathematical and Natural Sciences, the student should pass the two preparatory courses: English Language and Mathematics. 3. Concerning the Group of Biological Sciences, the student should pass the two preparatory courses: English Language and Chemistry. · College of Engineering and Petroleum (except the Department of Architecture)
1. The student should have a Secondary School/Science Section Certificate. 2. The student should pass 27 credits at least, but no more than 45 credits. 3. The student should pass the following courses with a grade no less than C (2.00 Points) in each:
4. The students of the Center for Medical Sciences are exempted from the previous condition, but the student's GPA in the preparatory year courses should be no less than B- (2.67 points). 5. For class 2007 and after, the student's GPA should be no less than 2.67 points. Conditions of transfer to the Department of Architecture: 1. The student should have a Secondary School/Science Section Certificate. 2. The student should pass 15 credits, but no more than 45 credits. 3. The student should pass the following courses with a grade no less than C (2.00 points) in each:
At least 6 credits of the Department of Architecture's elective or compulsory courses:
4. The students of the Center for Medical Sciences are exempted from the previous condition, but the overall GPA in the preparatory year courses should be no less than B- (2.67 points). 5. For class 2007 and after, the student's GPA should be no less than 3.33 points. · College of Allied Health Science
1. The student should have a Secondary School/Science Section Certificate. 2. The student should pass 25 credits, but no more than 45 credits. 3. The student should pass five credit hours in English Language. 4. The student should pass the following courses: 121/125 Basic Physics, 110/111 Chemistry, 101 Biology, 115 Finite Mathematics. 5. The student should pass two elective courses (6 credits) with a grade no less than (C).
The student should pass at least 30 credits, but no more than 45 credits. · College of Shari'a and Islamic Studies The student's GPA should be no less than C (2.00 Points). - College of Business Administration
o (1020-110) Introduction to Accounting o (1030-110) Principles of Microeconomics o (1011-201) Principles of Management
Transfer to the College for Women is restricted to female students only. The following conditions apply:
- Colleges that follow the Annual System - College of Law
6 credits in Chemistry courses(101 or 110) + 114* 10 credits in English courses or (6 credits in English courses + 4 credits at most from Chemistry and Biology courses (except Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer courses) that are taught in English**
Notice: The transferred students
to the colleges (Medicine - Pharmacy) will be admitted through the
Deanship of Admissions and Registration according to the available
seats after finishing the distribution of the students in the center
of Medicine Sciences.

1. The student should pass at least 25 credits, but no more than 45 credits. 2. The student's GPA should be no less than 2.67 points except for students who transfer from colleges of (Medicine - Pharmacy - Dentistry), their GPA should be no less than 2.33 points. 3. The student should pass five credit hours in English Language with a grade no less than (C). 4. The student should pass the following courses with a grade no less than (C): 121/125 Basic Physics, 110/111 Chemistry, 101 Biology, 115 Finite Mathematics. 5. The student should pass two elective courses (6 credits) with a grade no less than (C). 6. The student should have a Secondary School/Science Section Certificate.

1. The student should pass at least 30 credits, but no more than 45 credits. 2. The student's GPA should be no less than 3 points.

Transfer to the College for Women is restricted to female students only. The following conditions apply:
6 credits in Chemistry courses(101 or 110) + 114* 6 credits in Physics courses(101 or 121) + 122 3 credits in Biology Sciences courses(103/101) 3 credits in Mathematics or Statistics courses except Finite Mathematics 115 10 credits in English courses or (6 credits in English courses + 4 credits at most from Chemistry and Biology courses (except Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer courses) that are taught in English**
Notice: The transferred students to the colleges (Medicine - Pharmacy) will be admitted through the Deanship of Admissions and Registration according to the available seats after finishing the distribution of the students in the center of Medicine Sciences. * 111 Chemistry Lab. is a prerequisite to 114 Chemistry ** 6 credits in elective courses. |
